Man faces taxi crash charge
A Man appeared in Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday accused of grabbing the steering wheel of a taxi and causing it to leave the road.
Christopher Dunbar, 27, of 165 Crown Street, is also accused of assaulting taxi driver, Douglas Bolt, by punching him on the body.
Dunbar, who appeared from custody, pleaded not guilty to endangering life at Culduthel Mains roundabout by causing the taxi to leave the road, narrowly missing a traffic light.
Mairi Murray, 22, of 198 Culduthel Mains, Inverness, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Mr Bolt by scratching him on the head and body to his injury during the same incident.
Both were allowed bail and will appear again on December 24.
