Surely you can only charge like that if you have an operators license and are private hire? Even if you do have the operators license and send a hackney the hackney rules apply don't they?
If you are going out of your manor, IMO, you can (as a taxi) charge what you like.
And as for a taxi needing an ops license, I believe there are about 200 threads on that issue.

Correct me if I am wrong but as a hackney are you not only allowed to charge the metered fare or less?
You must charge the metered fare or less within your own district, outside of your district the fare is negotiable and negotiations must be at point of hire.
I was of course refering to a journey within the district.
Most airport jobs that I have heard quotes for have been at well below the metered rate.
I metered a fare from Birmingham airport to my town a couple of weeks ago and this was at 4.00 am. It came to £96.00. I asked various taxi drivers in the town what they charge for a trip at that time of day and the most expensive was £55.00. If it was in the daytime it would have been a maximum of £50. So if you want to charge extra for a trailer in my area I doubt you would get much extra. The £55 quote was from aguy in a eurocab.
you obviously know what you're doing....

the only time I have seen trailers work is with a saloon car doing a airport run, four people and lot's of luggage, a job he would not have got with out a trailer
