tdo i never noticed that bit about granting 71 plates recently, im glad you pointed it out, the editor of the tele has an email from me regarding the 30 wheelchair cabs he reported last week ill remind him of the 71 yellow plates tecently tomorrow,

dundeedoblo
2023etc are getting their drivers from the same untapped source they always have, people on benefits who have a driving license who will be cut off if they refuse, and recently migrants, these people are trained through the much publicisd 2030etc training school, in the tele, what the ad does not say is that the trainee has to pay for the training themselves,
which is deducted from them while they work,i dont know why the other offices haven,t started their own schools they could all operate from one area and as the trainee is paying it wouldnt cost a dime, it would however put a limit on the number of drivers 2030etc has going through the doors,
how many drivers do they put through the test who still work for them?i estimate 90 per cent leave them, this is where we could hit them, ads for 200 per week plus picking up on the steet would decimate the amount of drivers they have, 2030etc went bust in 2006 when they had 71 hacks now they have 71 ph,s they are booming ? it doesn,t add up

Sounds like the strike is off, if the STV lunchtime news is to be believed - now there's a surprise :-o

Apparently the trade gave a list of 12 grievances to the Council at today's liason committee, and the council made positive noises, so everything is OK

never believe the press or media....the trade stands firmly on all issues, and if the majority vote for action at the next meeting is ...it shall be executed accordingly.
political involvment was inevitable under the present climate..ie: general election...what is interesting is that no labour official has been involved to try and safeguard and reassure hundreds of registered voters and address their concerns.. :-|

Drivel, drivel and more drivel when are you going to post something that is accurate.

This strike is a joke, when are you going to wake up it's not Davie Young you should be attacking but the offices you pay fees to who are doing zilch to bring in work, the owners of Tele's are laughing about all this nonesense as it deflects all the agro away from them and Youngy just loves all the free publicity.

The biggest laugh I have had is a certain brand new wheelchair operator who has only had his licence two months spouting off about closing the town off .....why he has his licence so f..k anybody else who wants one, typical cab driver think of nobody but yourself.

Also must laugh at the poster stating you can get a good £200 per week deal rather than give Youngy £325.........well since the wheelchairs started coming on it was these guy's who gave out CRAZY DEALS to drivers to entice them away from saloon hacks, the old method of 50/50 should still be in place then maybe drivers would'nt jump about so much and look after the cars better as well.............ah I long for the good old days !

perhaps if the drivers where guaranteed the minimum wage it would be a start, there is no way on this earth i would work for less, let alone pay such a ridicules rent.
the office should only charge £150 per car ,per week this more than covers the cab payments and insurance, servicing and staff wages, and let the driver do the rest

if anyone is talking drivel it's you !
and it seems to me that there's a hint of jealousy regarding tele taxis.also remember that not all operators are willing to line office owner's pockets !! hence..streetcars..
Q.1 DO YOU EVEN HAVE A PLATE ?
Q.2. DO YOU HIRE IT OUT ?
Q.3. IF NOT..DO YOU DRIVE YOURSELF OR GIVE DRIVERS A GOOD DEAL ?
Q.4. AND WHAT EXACTLY ARE THE GOOD OLE DAYS ?
Q.5. OR ARE YOU JUST AN OFFICE TROUBLEMAKER WHO'S IN
THE HUFF COZ YOUR POCKETS ARE NOT AS FULL AS YOUR GREED DEMANDS ?

Yes I have a plate it's yellow and has been with me for 21 years am I jealous .....NO.....BUT I DO HATE ALL YOU FISH VAN OPS !!

I have nothing against the office's I'm in Tele's have been for 18 years what bother's me is I see how the office has grown but the work has not kept pace with the car growth, yes I have complained but it falls on deaf ears what I am saying is if the guy's from Handys & Tele's got together gave Ingils and co the what for threatened them with handing in the computers then they would'nt be long in stopping bringing in fish vans etc.

There are too many fish vans let's get rid of them out the office's

I propose we cap the taxi numbers after we get rid of all the operators with FISH VANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as for taxi numbers !! if all the old s***s in dundee handed back their plate instead o hiring it,,,the list would have worked...and u never answered the question about drevving yourself ...
as for wheelchair accessible...not one of you saloon self centred gits have made any provision regarding the DDA. know why ??
