THE streets of Paris were jammed with 100 London taxicabs on a 'magical tour' to the French capital. The famous black cabs set off from London's Canary Wharf (pictured) carrying children, family and volunteers on a charity trip to Disneyland.

The 14th annual Magical Taxi Tour took hundreds of youngsters with serious illnesses who may not get the chance to grow up for the trip of a lifetime.

All the cabbies put in their time free. The Magical Taxi Tour company's boss Phill Davis, one of the cabbies crossing the Channel on October 5, told the Advertiser: "Even the weather smiled on us all the way. "We had 117 vehicles in convoy down to Dover. "At one point the convoy was six miles long."

First night they all stayed in Disneyland's Sian Hotel, a Wild West-themed hotel. Saturday was spent at the theme park before the evening's grand gala party for the youngsters with Disney characters.

The taxis have ferried 2,800 children to Disney and back over the past 14 years and raised £1.5m. Now they've begun planning next year's trip already.
