There are only two things to remember in this debate. One is the installation of equipment inside a cab that is licensed under taxi legislation, which needs approval from a licensing authority. The other is the gathering and use of data under the 1998 DPA.

I have previously stated that they are completely different animals when it comes to legislation because neither has a bearing on the other.
