Proposal to meet at a convenient place and time to discuss points raised on TDO.
There has been so much conflict and disagreement on TDO I suggest we hold a meeting that is Central to all of TDO members.
We can then discuss matters and most of all meet each other.
This would be held on the basis of a diplomatic discussion.
After that we may be able to work together and assist one another in a better and more civil manner.
We are trying to make our trade better are we not ? Well do it as a body as opposed to individual comments that seem to be pointless.

Anyone up for this ?? I am sure this would be benefit us all.

What do you think ?

Steve

More to the point...do you not think it is a good Idea for all of us to hold a meeting ?

I was under the impression the internet was a medium that simplified accessibility to all?

It is the old adage, Location,Location,Location, it is a good idea - but it is never going to happen.

North East to London or N.E to Cardiff and vice versa is a big fare, Ohh and a bit of a distance as well.

The trouble with most areas mine inclusive, is that they cannot organise locally. To do it nationally and as much as I would like it to happen, you would have more chance of winning on a T.V phone in.

From my experience of this trade when a meeting is arranged 100% of folks say what a good idea.

Then they spend weeks setting a date.

Then 25% can't make that date.

Then between that date and the date of the meeting about 50% change their minds or make other plans.

On the day most of 25% left arrive and decide it's pointless talking about things without the other 75%.

Why would getting together for a meeting achieve anything more than is on this forum already ?

the whole point about a forum like this is that you can have a debate between people who live and work a great distance apart

I think it's a fair proposal, but never going to happen.

Best thing is for folks, living near each other, having a meet up when they drop in each other areas.

Or better still they could pass on work to each other.

Interesting thought. I'm just trying to work out where a central location might be.

I'm in Aberdeen. Anyone further north?

Sussex Is in Brighton. Anyone further South?

Who's furthest West / East?
