I don't know if you guys in smaller towns have the annoyance of members of the public flagging you down and asking directions to such and such a place knowing full well that all they want is information?

Well I must admit I'm getting pretty pizzed off at such activities and in future I'm going to put my meter on and charge them for my time or tell them to pizzzzz off politely.

Can you imagine being the first cab charging down the main highway into town and someone flags you down only to ask you for directions? lol ten cabs pass you by, which means instead of being first in line you are relegated to last cab?

My reaction is not too polite and in future if anyone flags me down I'll comply with the law and put my meter on regardless of whether they want to travel, or just want information?

Regards

JD

Well believe it or not you are quite entitled to charge people for your time.

If you drive a cab you will know how annoying it is to have someone flag you down only to ask for directions. lol. I don't know if u drive a cab but those who do will know precisely what I'm talking about?

Regards

JD

You may be entitled to charge them but getting them to pay you could be another matter.

I must admit that i've never been flagged down for directions but frequently get stopped by people asking directions when i'm loading or unloading passengers

the words cant you see i'm busy spring to mind but i usually bite my tongue and do my good deed for the day and explain to them that all the time they've been driving in circles theyre only round the corner from what they are trying to find :D

Just say "You can follow me if you like, but it's £ whatever up front"
I had 2 old dears a year or so ago who paid me to let them follow me to the nearest M6 junction, i pointed to the sign a few yards away saying it's 3 miles to the motorway but they said "we've followed it but it doesnt say which way it is to Blackpool"!!
