Hi all., just a quick one so you can make a note in your new 2008 diaries of the Upfront Taxi Show 2008, March 29th 2008 at Gateshead International Stadium. Opens 10am till 5pm. Loads on show and a free gift for each taxi driver attending (and no, it's not just a pen!!)

Come to the party city!

More at www.upfrontmag.co.uk

I will gently remind you all nearer the time.

Any enquiries to paul@upfrontmag.co.uk

Thanks, Paul.

Paul its a good idea to hold it where you do not have to break the bank to get there, but holding it on a Saturday is not wise, a Monday or Tuesday would be better, as more drivers and owners would be off

As they say you cannot please everyone!!

Saturday day-time = no school contracts etc.

We did think about this carefully and we expect a lot of people to take the opportunity of a night out / weekend in Newcastle as well as the show.

Are you going to come mate?

Regards, Paul

Sorry Paul, would love to but Saturdays are the busiest day of the week, for me and more than likely everyone else

Mr Skippy there are 365 days in the year, if you can't make your money in 364 of them, then best you go drive a bus.

Cake and eat it? Can't win. I am sure you will try to get there; I will reserve the free gift for you just in case.

By the way, how much do you earn on a Saturday day-time? Take this off the costs to travel to a show in the south and you are quids in. Maybe even work Saturday night?

I am not being flippant, but just trying to balance the argument.

We are a funny lot us taxi drivers, eh?

Regards, Paul

I have been looking for an excuse to spend the weekend in Gateshead.

Count me in.

From my experience of the trade, when you organize anything it's best to expect no-one to turn up, and when some do treat that as a result.

Is that the Eslington Villa? If so yes, all the food is fantastic there - just don't drink too much on Saturday nigh, and buy a cheap car at the show so you've got some money left!

This show will be extremely well publicised, even on local radio. I have no worries that no one will attend. It will not follow the format of one manufacturer having a show and then inviting a few other sorts of businesses. This will be professional in every way and there will be a huge choice of exhibitors, and will be something like the Coventry show (except there is much more scope for a night out afterwards!)

I would come, but we have the choice of LTI Bronze, Silver and Gold.

If they are present, ask the rep when the Nissan engined version is due out?

That's the fashionable talk around London at the moment. :-$

I have tried asking similar things before about my TX2 - starter motor, flywheel, engine knocking etc etc !!! If I see Mr Overton I will ask him.
