We currently own one vehicle with insurance policy for two named drivers, were looking at getting a second vehicle in march and wondering if we are better off finding a company that will do a small fleet policy for two vehicles or insuring both seperately, currently been quoted around 3k for both on separate policies.

Is there a company that specialises in this sort of insurance

I'm not sure that the fleet folks think much of a two car fleet, and the price for a fleet of two isn't going to be much cheaper than for two fleets of one.

But hopefully someone out there will prove me very wrong.

When I put my second car on the road the price came down by about 15% by having them on the same policy. It realy started to drop when I got my third. I am insured through Wheels insurance.

What happens when one car has a claim, does it effect the NCD on the other? :?

Even if you have seperate policies, if you have a claim you have to tell ALL your insurers about it. You are declairing that you have had no claims not no claims with a particular policy. A claim is a claim.
As for how it affects the NCD I will let you know at my renewal because my wife has just made her first claim in 34 years of driving.
