That's exactly it. Every goverment has ignored the problem since 1981. The money from sales should have been used to build more.

Are we not going off topic a bit , The idea of the thread, is to get the Captain on board again .

Council housing come on !

So the Captain made a mistake , So he was found in bed ,with Mrs C . Its not his fault .
So Mrs C is a bit smelly, his best friend should have warned him .

Mr GBC,

Perhaps you could also pen an article, you could call it,

'How I became an arrogant, self opinionated London Cabbie'.

It could be your autobiography

Good idea, I was thinking more along the lines of 'A clown and his puppets'

Shall I reserve you a first edition, or perhaps you could make a contribution, seeing that you would have some relevant input?

To answer your question though, I done what your 17 London Minicab members seem incapable of doing . . . easy innit?

I would second the motion for the Captain to return, although I might not agree with all of his comments, his wit and input are missed.

I sent the Captain a text today, and he was very happy to hear from me.

I think he is currently busy filling in an application for the GMB. Image

Joking aside, at least they would have a leader who actually knows a lot about the British Taxi trade unlike the current clown.

His dress code outdoes the current one as well . . :wink

I wasn't aware that the GMB taxi, stroke private hire section, had a leader outside of London? I presume they may have one within London but what good is that to those persons outside of London?

The GMB outside of London has two heads, one resting on the shoulders of the private hire section and one balancing precariously on the heads of hackney carriage owners. In the short term the two will never be reconciled because their interests are completely different. If anyone has a solution, then answers on a postcard pleeeeze.

Regards

JD

I was'nt aware they had one in London either. They seem to have a self appointed 'person' who talks on behalf of the whole country, but then Terry likes the sound of his own voice.

Perhaps Mr Brightonbreeze can update?

At least he understands diplomacy.

Here's another one to keep your cell ticking over:

Baa baa black sheep, have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full
One for the master, one for the dame,
And one for the little boy who lives down the lane.
