two court cases last week in dundee, first a limo owner who was let down by his driver, decided to drive the limo himself and was caught,a hefty fine plus points on his license,
the second a taxi driver who was aquited of housebreaking, the householders side, she was in a taxi left the key in the taxi went away for a few days returned, she was in her house and heard knocking at the door, she ignored this then heard a key being turned in the door, she went to investigate and found the driver in the house, drivers story ,he found the key in his cab thought it was hers then when he passed her house decided to see if the key fitted her door, while he was trying the key she opened the door and he fell in,

no doubt many of you have found keys in your cabs but would you in this predicament ?

lastly the council have had a lot of flack over dundee taxi co going bankrupt and still operating with the same plates for a while but they still haven,t updated their own records
http://www.dundeetravelinfo.com/taxi_card_notice.asp

maybe they are a little confused as its the same owner same staff/cars /contracts, plus the taxi card contract which was automaticly transferred rather than put out to tender, but here is a little clue which should show them its a different company

the £££££££££ debt no longer exists

I think the key bag at the Police Station is a far safer bet. :-s

It is in our terms that lost property should be handed to the police.

I think the sheriff thought the driver was guilty. He said that if it had been a civil case then the result might have been different, but because it was a criminal case then because there was a bit of doubt about what happened then he was not guilty.
