Its the same old story Pete,
They fine a woman who's toddler dropped litter, but they are not around to pick on a drunk who has chucked the contents of his takeaway on the ground.I would love to see these hitlers working at 3am on a sunday morning!!!!!!!!!

Gonna email them this week and complain, and see what there response is on that matter, by the way the locals never see the mess the drunks leave as the council cleaning team come out at 4am to clear it all up, paid for by council tax

I have never been caught smoking either.

But I was reported for smoking whilst driving a bus in the 1980's. I was hauled up before the bus company beak. He read out the charge, and asked me for a defence. I told him I don't smoke, and he asked why didn't I say so earlier. Because you never asked, I replied.

In York, early this evening the Smoke enforcement were out checking taxis for signs of driver smoking, along with Taxi Enforcement officer, checking ash trays, sides of seat and rear parcel shelf for ash

is having cig ash in your vehicle now an offence??

also in Duncombe Place [closed taxi rank after ten o clock] the Licence enforcement together with police was telling punters to move on as taxis are not legally allowed to pick up in this street because the rank is closed, as told to me by one of my passengers

hows about dress code police

yes we as drivers know that and still work the rank

i have found out that when a customer at the Dean Court Hotel opposite the rank complains, [i got this from the bar manager of the hotel] re not slept well, from noise in the street, the manager gives a 20 quid discount back to the customer on complaint, thats why they want us out of here
