We have had the busiest xmas period in the history of our base xmas eve we doubled our job count from last year xmas day it went thru the roof not enough drivers to cover the work & boxing night was once again non stop but we also did a lot of advertising leading up to the festive period we put out 250,000 cards out in 3 weeks also advertised in 3 local papers cost a lot of money but i think it has been well worth it with the work we have generated

Much the same in the Scottish borders, a quiet Christmas eve, Christmas day did a few pre booked, then went out at night was extremely quiet until 9pm then all hell broke loose was telling folk 45 Min's at one point and they waited, finally got in the house at 4am
boxing day a little better throughout the day then mad house until 4am again
Night clubs open tonight I think, but they may not be as I have heard that they lost there licences for using unlicensed bouncers

Friday a lot below par with one fare in particular rescuing my night, went to bed hoping Saturday would be a lot better.

It turns out SATURDAY night was the worst Sat since god knows when, apart from New Years eve of which I shall not be working - it looks like it is all over.

Hope you have all had a better one.

Family time, as I said in another post 360 other days in the year to make money.

Supprisingly in years gone by it starts to pick up from about the middle of Jan, we have got somewhere between (22/35000 students) nobody seems to know how many, but it certainly helps. Then in Feb the rugby International season kicks off, and that really sets us going.

Not at 1am last night it was'nt.
Not at 2am last night it was'nt.
Not at 3am last ni . . . . .

There's plenty of work out there, but too many drivers like their 9-5 life.

I done just fine last night, I'll be out all new years day as well.
