Two men steal taxi driver's cab

A taxi driver was threatened and had his cab stolen on Merseyside. The 35-year-old was left shaken when two men abandoned him in Ince Woods, Maghull, and stole his white Skoda taxi at 2000 GMT on Sunday.

The vehicle, which had the taxi company's phone number on the side, was later found abandoned near the Read Lion Bridge.

Police made extensive searches of the area including nearby bars and pubs but the men were not found.

The first offender is described as being of mixed race and in his early 20s. He wore red and white top.

The second man was white and in his early 20s and wore dark clothing.

I was'nt aware Skoda's were licensed as Taxi's in Liverpool or the Wirrall?

That'll be because Maghull falls under Sefton which allows a Skoda to be licensed.

That'll be because Maghull falls under Sefton which allows a Skoda to be licensed.

Most likely a Sefton PH - Blueline or DELTA - Because you'll rarely see a hack in Maghull.
