Dear Dr Stoate
Re: Mr Peter Foreman, Vehicle Registration - LA56 GPK
Thank you for your letter concerning Mr Foreman and his vehicle.
LTI have been in extensive dialogue with Mr Foreman over his concerns and are currently corresponding through legal channels with his representatives.
Mr Foreman's vehicle has been viewed by LTI and we have found no fault with it upon viewing. LTI have requested to carry out a more detailed investigation of Mr Foreman's claims, but Mr Foreman refuses to release the vehicle to LTI.
Mr Foreman has referred his complaint to the Vehicle Operations Standards Agency (VOSA), who have contacted LTI. We have provided a detailed response to the VOSA Questionnaire, and VOSA have closed the file.
Mr Foreman continues to drive his vehicle and the vehicle has recently passed the Transport for London (TfL)/Public Carriage Office (PCO) test for Taxi's, which is in excess of a normal vehicle MOT test.
LTI continue to try and help Mr Foreman, but, at this stage of correspondence and taking into account Mr Foreman's actions and previous claims which could be considered litigious, will only do so through our legal representatives.
LTI would gladly investigate Mr Foreman's vehicle if he would agree release of the vehicle though his legal representatives.
Customer satisfaction is a key measure for LTI and we will continue to try to assist Mr Foreman with his concerns.

PETER SHILLCOCK Managing Director LTI Limited

Yours sincerely

You would think after 60 years of dealing with one product that they would get it right.

Just had a phone call from a "Consumer" TV Programe that I wrote to last year !

They have seen the YouTube video and now want all the supporting reports and paperwork, they promised nothing but maybe the tables are about to turn!

Bex would that be top gear or watch dog,
If it is make sure you let them know that the PCO and Red Ken are now putting lives at risk by insisting that London's finest must
buy them and as they must have the turning circle they cannot buy anything else

Taxi once slaged off LTI and lost their advertising. They got it back some time later, but what they promised LTI no one knows.
LTI advertising is big bucks to the Taxi mag.

It might be helpful to your case if you can find out how much trouble the TX1 & TX2 have caused - the bottom line being is that it has never been a good product.

Now't wrong with my TX1.

Sound engine.

Crap brakes at the moment, but a sound engine.

When I had mine an X reg about 3 1/2 years old at the time - rust was coming through the bonnet, another driver his car was about 1 year older than mine was absolutely riddled with rust.

Problems with mine in general:

1) Piston broke.
2) Stub axle actually snapped, they reckon its only ever happened three times, Aye alright.
3) Car not starting or constantly cutting out - the immobiliser was the cause.

Plus a load of other stuff.

I think a lot of their problems are caused by inferior parts, in other words they buy on the cheap. They look the part, but they are a pile of [edited by admin].

If they spent more money on the product and less protecting their monopoly markets, they could produce a much better quality cab.

They get plenty from memberships. Drivers should be their priority. Won't say anything against Ken, won't say anything against LTI. They're not what they used to be,in my opinion. Bit lame now.

Sorry not giving any indication of programme, very early stage of them reading all my records.I have no intention of giving LTI the opportunity to "Interfere". Any media coverage would be great,I`ve had 3 e mails from them so far and a telephone conversation.Everything being sent by recorded delivery today. Will keep all informed as much as possible, and keep my fingers crossed this goes some where !

By the way I had 3 years of extensive trouble with a TXII and Trevor Hattersley, probably why he treats me with contempt, and I have all the records,it was never resolved which is why I bought a TX4 !
