Lewes licensing minutes.
From what I have read in some of these files Lewes DC take taxi licencing seriously, and it goes to show that BB and B@H are crying wolf

Mr Skippy,

I am not saying that Lewes don't take licensing seriously, what I am saying, Lewes DC licensed MTS outside the Law. Lewes DC allow some of its drivers to license without taking the DSA, all fact.

There are hundreds of decent properly licensed Lewes drivers working out there, MTS are swinging the lead.

Regards
BB

The drivers who do not take the DSA test are allowed to do so by Lewes DC so the Lewes Operator can put in cheaper tenders for contract work. FORGET STANDARDS THEY ARE ONLY CHILDREN.

Can you provide any evidence that Lewes DC have not run a full CRB check, i think you will find they have, as they would not be driving taxis or PH for that matter, and its sour grapes on the part of B@H owners as they have not got the balls to tell the council to stick the DSA test, or it could be they dont have the sense to put in a reasonable tender, most councils want to save money so the tend to lean towards the cheapest.
They cannot even tell the council to go feck themselves when it comes to cab colour why paint a decent car 2 tone just to satisfy a bunch of we know best numptys, OH I forgot BB thats should be your job so go and read the best practice and you will see that car colour should not be an issue and there is no need to change it, FFS your getting more like ELL Tell every day,
If you represent any of the drivers and owners down there go and fight for them instead of publishing a load of sheit   :x :x

Mr Skippy,

As Mr Sussex has said, you have missed the point.

As a representative of the Brighton & Hove GMB PDB I am doing exactley as our members requested. If our members ever ask our representatives to deal with the DSA or the colours we will.

Regards
BB

Well MR BB if you can find the requirements for the DSA test in any version of the English taxi laws or the best practice guidance, could you please publish it on here.
As I dont think you will find it one can assume that B@H drivers are being subjected to an unnecessary burden by the we know best brigade, and that it is not a requirement in of Lewes DC

The DSA taxi test is now a requirement by Lewes, it's just that the firm Mr BB is on about asked for, and got, an exemption from it.

In the same way their drivers don't do a knowledge test, yet every other taxi/PH driver in Lewes needs one.

In fact Mr BB is doing the Lewes trade a service by pointing out the them how they are being screwed by their council.

No-one should be treated differently by their council, not even me. :D

I think he has had plans for many many years , the same way certain government departments have plans to expand and create more red tape , and obviously larger salaries, the DSA test was designed to re-evaluate bad drivers.. if all the drivers in Brighton and Hove have had to sit this test...... well the mind boggles as to their standard of driving.......

Or you could say that as this is a test which is part of the assesments to become a taxi driver, all Brighton & Hove Drivers are of a very high standard :D .

You could also say that the trade took the decision to agree to this test for new entrants, I wonder why?

I once had a professional person show me how to load a wheelchair into T X one ..... it was empty........ and you're forgetting I've been to Brighton........ same faces behind the same steering wheels with the same attitude.... although I must admit they were not wearing their black shirts and armbands in the daytime....

stop trying .. you're insulting people's intelligence.... 8)
