 Post subject: how much is a crb check

We are being charged £36 for our crb check is this high low or about right we hear all sorts of figures ranging from £10 to £50

If someone is charging you £50, then they are binning a few quid for themselves. [-X

ours is currently £36.00 but is about to go up I think it is £42 in Peterborough not sure about Rutland

But bear in mind that that includes what the council is charging you for their administration costs

you can obtain a CRB off the internet for about £20 and it will take about 4 days to get to you. i have always wondered where this extra money goes. ours is £37 and is told includes admin. how much is a stamp these days eh! :lol: :lol:

If you go onto the CRB website, you will find that the CRB charge £36.00 for an enhanced disclosure. It's not rocket science to work out that that is the exact amount you are being charged Stinky Pete. No admin charge, no extras, no nothing. You're getting what you are paying for, in fact it's a bargain cos you ain't getting charged an admin fee!!!
