TDO, is a good forum but limited when it comes to freedom of speech. The point being, regardless of who is telling the truth the site is silenced to silence the individual making the comments - TDO, is not responsible but the law targets the site administrator and the host server.

I have know problem taking on the scum up here - you live by the sword you die by it - that is just the way it is.

The Scum I deal will attack anyone in an attempt to get to me - I have no fear of them and they know it.

I am constrained by the current legal situation and my friends and what effect my actions might have on them.

To keep a bit of perspective here, let's remember that the alleged "nuts" in Edinburgh are only asking for a free market, enjoyed everywhere else in our economy.

We're only asking for inividuals to have the right to conrol their own affairs.

The problem is that the greedy vested interests are doing everything they can to prevent this.

Government should recognise the injustices here and do something about it. But they don't. They operate in secret to protect those vested interests. This isn't just about injustice to a few cabbies, its about how the government is failing, how it has been corrupted.

That's why the campaign can never end until victory and these councillors are held to account.

Ultimately this will be through a book published on the internet. The whole gamut of the issues wil be explored and names will be named. Among the topics to be covered are Councils, councillors, the trade, companies in the trade, the police, the law, the legal profession, forums, the media - that's just for starters. Everyone's conduct will be examined to demonstrate just exactly how the control mechanism in our nation works.

Whatever happens to the case in a fortnght, there will be a second case to follow, then the second tranche of 5 cases after that. We will learn from the first case on May 6th, that will be applied in the second case. These have been kept separate to crank the whole affair up. Meanwhile, more applications will be made.

The saps on the new ETF seem to think a slam dunk decsion will be made in favour of the council, any appeal will be lost, end of.

That's more of a wish list than anything based on reality or common sense.

This is scheduled to run and run. May 6th is just the starting line in a marathon.

I've asked everyone to write to the council and insist they turn up. The Skull thinks they won't. I think they will. Legal advice suggests they will.

So, we have councillors in the witness box. Then they will be dragged in for the second case, only their answers from the first case will be subject to more considered scrutiny. Any deviation, and they will risk perjury. That's jail time for councillors folks. That's the strategy we now have.

This is deathground in the battle. And the claymores are swinging. And we don't intend to get hurt. Aggression is the order of the day. And the more the trade dislikes that aggression, the more aggressive we will become.

You hide behind this free market crap when eveyone knows that you want a plate to sell for profit and you don't give a damn about anyone else!!! So stop talking tripe

It's not the court that issues the plate but the council under direction from the court? It's then up to the plate holder if he wants to sell, Ali T being a case in point.
