Daft question, but does anyone recognise this location? A stately home or manor house around London / Home counties somewhere?

Don't ask, but it will help members of another forum, which is non taxi related.

Good guess Skippy, but it's not Althorp. That's not far from me, and it does'nt possess the castle part you can see through the tree's.

I think the house in question is more down Surrey way.

Thought it might be Cliveden at Taplow on the edge of Burnham Beeches
famous for the Christine Keeler affair in the 60s

That shot was taken in 1976, that's a Ford Consul heading up the drive containing the late and great John Thaw.

GBC, as you know we have had hurricane force winds a few time since then and more than likely most of those tree will have gone.
