They will stop making the A4 in 2 years time so they are in the process of winding down production, the A5 has a lot more room if you can afford it go for the 140tdi if not get the 105 tdi and get it chiped, and dont worry about getting it done it does not show at service this will bring it up to 140bhp for about £450

It actually improves it by 5 to 7 MPG because you dont have to change down where you normaly would.
Chipping will give you 40% more power and 30% torque, the engines are designed to take it,and are of a lower power output because folk miss services, but change your oil before its required in the service book, if it says 12,000 in the book change at 10,000.

Why bother Chipping? Im sure the Insurances Companys will stick on A 50% increase in Premium prices to match the 25% performance increase......but unless you want to try and break free from the earths atmosphere just how much horse power do you really need tu lugg 4 people and a few bags about the countryside????

Boggins, the extra power actually saves fuel, as your in the highest gear most of the time, and depending on your driving environment you can get another 5 to 10 mpg per gallon
The main reason people do it is to save money as well, take the Skoda tdi 105 for instance after chipping you end up with a 135 and have saved
£ 2,500 approx on the new price.
and with any VW tdi the upgrade does not show unless its put on a rolling road
