Taxi Driver Online

do you wear your taxi/ph badge while for hire ? i never wear it and i have wedged it between the interior lights up the top so people can see it, many of the drivers wear it some put it around the dataheads and otheres there mirror, i wouldn't to that as the chain would scratch the radio, i was in a taxi last night, was a Chevrolet cruze (pice of sh** the driver was telling me, was a 62 plate and the turbo is on the way out) and he had glued his badge to the dashboard, bit weird but hey ho, i used to wear my badge but i decided to put it there as it would save me from losing it,do you wear your ph/taxi badge?

Mine is blue tacked to the inside of the windscreen, in full view.

One is in a plastic sleeve stuck to the front windscreen, and the other is draped from my shirt collar. Both have got to be there or you get done for it.

tend to pick my workwear trousers with a view to them having an id pocket so sling it in that.

GCC dictate we wear ours upon our person on the outermost garment. so works for me keeps me the right side of the kangaroo court

I wear mine around my neck like a shackle, so used it now I feel naked without it. I also have one in my car just below the radio and one on the window but that's the plate info

We all have one fixed to the windscreen, and should also wear one around the neck or on a lapel.

Does the latter happen, or course all the time.

Mine is round my meter in full view of the travelling passenger.

i had mine round the meter on the octavia,but the superb has a glossy radio and if i put it would there it would mark it all with the chain, i took it out of the chain holder and have put the bit of plastic itself up at the map lights and wegged it up there, and people in the front and back can see it

I used to wear mine on a cord around my neck, until one passenger stuck his arm through the pay window and grabbed it in a choke manner. My neck was marked (not too badly) but it made me think as to what could have happened.

My badge is still on a cord but threaded at the back of a button on my shirt - if it is grabbed, then it will just break away.

Yeah my radio screen has got a half moon on it due to the plastic badge swaying side to side.

Staffs school contracts also require drivers WEAR a photo id badge

BTW our badges come with a breakaway chain
