In town this morning and noticed an empty taxi on the station rank. When I came back for my bike a couple of hours later, it was still there in the same place. There was a note on the n/s window saying taxi not working. When I asked, I was told by a former colleague that the police rocked up and arrested the driver and carted him off. 24 hours in police custody, and still not seen. Doubt it’s an unpaid parking ticket.

Intrigue in old Lindum; let us know if you hear any more but it must be something serious if he is being held in custody.

Maybe it's that power tool assault ?

is it a driver you know ?

He or should that be they? Rocked up late afternoon and continued working. Keeping quiet about what happened.
