Can Mr Huhne please describe what constitutes an unlicensed taxi driver? As far as I'm concerned there is only one type of taxi driver and that's someone who is licensed as a taxi driver, everyone else is just joe public.

Again I suppose everyone on the sex offenders register who isn't a licensed taxi driver could be classed as being an unlicensed taxi driver. What a stupid question to ask?

The secretary of state will probably respond by asking Mr Huhne if his reference is aimed at Bogus taxi drivers as against those who are unlicensed?

Regards

JD

I can only presume that Mr Huhne was referring to individuals who were caught committing a crime whilst imitating a taxi driver?

So any person not being a taxi driver yet found immitating a taxi driver is classed as being an "unlicensed" taxi driver and not a bogus taxi driver?

What does the sex offender have to say, do you wan't a lift home I'm a taxi driver?

Regards

JD

Personally, I would say that an individual is both unlicensed and bogus, if they imitate being a taxi driver.

It will be interesting to see the Secretary of states reply on thhe 18th.

No silly they say things like 'would you like to see my puppy'.

If they aren't a licenced taxi driver I don't see the point of asking these questions unless it is to check how many times some silly female has got into a strangers car without any regards to her safety. Perhaps he wants to know how easy it is to pretend to be a taxi driver and get away with it. Maybe there is a bigger picture but the only one I can see is to make sure that all taxis not just Black Hackneys actually look like taxis so it is harder for the drunks to make mistakes and it may become harder for the perverts to impersonate taxi drivers.

I think JD makes a very valid point.....the context of the questions seem pretty Fecked up if you ask me.
