Dundee must go the whole hog and make all vehicles wheelchair accessible.
They must all have an even footing in the trade.
If the HC operators of saloon type vehicles are not willing to go the WAV way, then they can transfer to PH.
The saloon car operators are laughing at the newer lads that have put on the Wavs, let the boot be on the other foot, all Wavs.

It would take a bit of courage to go the whole hog with the WAVs, and it's doubtful if DCC has that.
As it is, they took the heat off the wheelchair and hire plate issues without forcing the old plates to do anything.
The old plates will have two main things on their agenda - closing the town again and keeping their plates saloon. Thus Alan Petrie's recent spat with David Young about it.
Both made a virtue out of helping the disabled, but Mr Petrie was clearly more bothered about his party hacks (good pun there

) keeping their saloon plates - after all that's what his party's all about, not helping the disabled.
Similarly, Mr Young's conversion (another good pun

) to WAVs seems more than a tad opportunistic.
Maybe I'm a cynic, but I'm damn good at puns
