Now that Westminster has rule out devolving corporation tax or "devo max " I wonder what the 33% of Scottish voters who backed the option are thinking now :?:
Westminster isn’t prepared to give them "devo max ”. Do they say: "OK then, I was only asking. I’ll dae whit I’m telt.” or “Independence it is then.”

I also wonder why Northern Ireland will get corporation tax powers but not Scotland ?

The main problem is that that majority of the tosspots that make up the Scottish Parliament are simply not up to the Task, somethings are better not devolved...more so now because theres more SNP single cell amoeba in the parliament than there is in your average highland bog.

They have daft, unworkable and unaffordable ideas that will bring Scotland to its knees within five years. They'll feck up all business's that rely on work from south of the border, they'll tax us higher than the rest of the UK, they'll impose draconian laws on us all.

We Scots will become worse off under the SNP as things are, and then be twice as worse off after Independance.

Our only hope on this small Island nation of ours is unity, not the type of unity that the EU wants to impose on us and which the SNP is so keen on...but a unity based on democracy and national freedom which can still be enjoyed by all the nations that make up the United Kingdom.

Im Proud to be Scottish, just dont give me that p1sh about the SNP not be anti English but only Pro Scottish. It does not wash, the SNP pick fights with our neighbours every chance they get.

My betting is that if we ever become an Independant state its more likely a result of our English neighbours seeking their own independance just to escape the whinings of the SNP, and also for them to avoid being dragged under by Alex Salmonds bunch of Loony toons that have false charm and real smarm in equal amounts.

Stationtone you are a numpty. Salmond, and his merry band will never share the spoils of power with the likes of you. What, you think life is going to improve for everyone because of independence? You are delusional. Salmond, MacAskill and Sturgeon don't give a [edited by admin] about you and never did. This is about Salmond becoming King of Scotland, with him and his entourage getting into bed with big business.

I know who'll reap the benefits alright, and it won't be your average Joe, in the street. #-o

You are a right pair of clowns. Salmond is chasing independence by attempting to buy the electorate. He's banging the populist drum. He doesn't care about you or your family. He only wants your vote, so he can cosy up to the people who really matter. Once in power it's a different story, he doesn't need the likes of you any more, and there's no going back. When he fails to deliver on all his promises and starts hiking taxes, he'll blame it on years of mismanagement by the British government, the theft of our oil, the credit crunch, the global recession and anything else he can think of. Scotland will become a tax haven for all his new-found business chums. The Dougies' and Stationtones', even with all your inbreeding, simply won't matter any more.

What, Alec Salmond the politician who really cares, give yourselves a shake, ffs. #-o

Bullocks. I mean Donald Trump and Brian Souter (Stagecoach) have a lot in common with the average Scot.

And what about Mr & Mrs Weir from Ayrshire, who're donating to the SNP's independence cause, and are surely as 'average Joe' as you get (or should that be 'average Jock'!).

Oh, no - didn't they just win £161 million on the Euromillions?

Mind you, that's small change compared to Brian Souter's wealth (or should that be Sir Brian, since he was happy to receive a knighthood from Westminster  ) but it's nice to know that they're all bankrolling the SNP's election/referendum campaigns =D>

Yes, it's a shame, I mean the lower corporation tax was supported by one of the SNP's multi-millionaire corporate backers - who'd have thunk it?

Of course, no doubt a wealthy man like that would pay back his share in personal taxes?

Well he would except that he's a tax exile

Like Sir Sean Connery in fact - what a great idea Scottish independence is, as long as we don't have to live there and pay taxes on our millions

Holyrood = Westminster Mk II

Your getting all these things on the Never Never, Ecks buying votes but is rapidly running out of time before he and his cronies are caught out, he cannot sustain such benefits in the long term, it'll be an utter disaster for us all when we have to pick up the pieces and pay for his posturing political gimmicks.

o dear Bloodnock waken up , the people of Scotland did not vote for Alex Salmond in May they voted for the Scottish National Party and their policy's and before you give me your bile about this not being a mandate for independence it was a mandate for a referendum on independence .
So why not tell the forum why a tory/lib/dem government are so hell bent on keeping the union together when Scotland is so much of a burden ?

2 Why are the tories so interested in Scotland when they only have 1 Scottish MP :?:

3 Why are Northern Ireland going to get devolved powers on corporation tax and Scotland will under know circumstances be giving such powers . :?:
