Edinburgh's HC trade is not saturated to that of Edinburgh's phc trade, Jasbar has worked both but only now he terms the word CBNGGR.
The Edinburgh HC trade is ticking over, a driver can still make a living but in the PH trade drivers are not, the profiteers are and at the individuals expense, De-restricting the HC trade in Edinburgh yes would render the PH trade insignificant but what would happen is the current problem of saturation/profiteering of the PH trade at the expense of the individual would overnight transfer in to the HC trade, you know the rich pickings of the streetwork in Edinburgh making my statment a gaurantee.
Jasbar has and alway's will be out to destroy a trade that is well regulated and does serve the Edinburgh public well, i go for controlled growth to render the saturated out of control PH trade, thats why the only true alternative that is proven is the medallion system that is now well spread throughout the world and the medallion system works to what it say's on the tin, it stops the saturation and infiltration by organised crims, in Edinburgh it would work more for the individual than say it does in New York.
The point as pointed out again by Doom, it proves that differences exist, justifying LA's the right to regulate as they the LA's see fit, no question.
