The reason that the website referred to above was blocked was because Andy Peters was using it to spread defamatory comments about this site, and it would thus be ridiculous if we were to allow him to use this site to market his own site and thus the illegality, especially when this site is the 'victim'.
Andy has cleary recanted slightly and realised that he was ignorant enough to be led up the garden path by other equally ignorant people, but his site is still libelling this site by inuenndo, but clearly he doesn't like the facts to get in the way of a good bit of malice.
Of course, Andy Peters has always been a bit of a stranger to the truth - I well recall when he was using various aliases on here to belittle TDO insofar as it 'only' had x amount of posters, which is still his favourite line, but of course it's backfired on him a bit now given the distinct lack of activity on his own site.
Hence his attempt to market his own site on here.
Andy also accused us of being petty for blocking the address of his site, and it should be obvious that the reason for this is his illegality, as explained above.
But he should recall that when we started the site we carried links to all the other forums going, and that was even when we had zero posts, not nearly 25,000.
For example, we had a link to TTF2, then dutifully changed it to TTF3 (ie the revamped TTFUK), until the site was no more.
So it's not TDO that's petty Andy.
Here's another one - the lad from Liverpool posted on here recently that he was starting a new site, and asked people to contact him etc. Did we delete that? No.
So next thing we know, we get an email informing us about the new site and forum, including the immortal words "We do not support deregulation in any way - like some other forums we are aware of and invite you to discuss the subject".
So then the forum gets going, and what's on it now? The usual false claims about TDO by your fantasist friend Nigel Marchant.
A few days later, and what happens? Our Liverpool friend joins the TDO forum under the guise of his own forum - presumably it's suddenly become de rigeur to discuss 'deregulation' in Liverpool
Deleted? No, or at least not yet anyway.
Another good one was the Taxi Mart site, who asked us for a link, and said they would do likewise.
No problem. Next thing we know the 'UK's No 1 Taxi Forum' had been set up on that site (the number 1 presumably just being a bit of bull to get the thing started).
And the link to our site. Well, you'll have to look very hard to find us - we gave their site equal status with all our other external links, but poor old TDO is certainly bottom of the pile in this regard.
Deleted? No, or at least not yet anway.
But at least the admin on there challenged Mr Marchant when he went on there to spread his nonsense, and of course when he's challenged there's often a deafening silence.
I think there's too many people who just think that setting up the site is the hard bit, and then they can just send out a few emails and within days they'll have dozens of members and a hundred posts a day, but it's not that easy, but of course they can always come on here and try to poach members.
Not as easy as you thought, is it lads?
