2. The interior, upholstery, roof lining and seats must be clean and completely free from cuts, tears or significant marks including cigarette burns. All repairs must have been carried out in a professional manner.
3. All carpets and floor covering shall be clean, complete and free from cuts, tears or significant staining.
4. The bodywork must be in excellent condition as specified below:
No visible evidence of repair including welds or mismatched paint colour
No areas of rust or bubbled paint of more than 5cm at the widest part
No more than two areas of rust or bubbled paint of less than 5cm at the widest part
No dents over 15cm in length at the widest part
No more than two dents or more of 5cm at the widest part
No more than two visible scratches down to the bare metal of more than 5cm in length
No scratches down to the metal of more than 20cm in length
5. Doors and windows must operate properly.
6. Mechanically the car must be completely sound with all parts and equipment in good working order, as determined by a test at one of the District Council’s specified testing stations.
7. The tyres, battery, silencer and brake linings should not need replacing for another 8000km (about 5000 miles) as determined by a test at one of the District Council’s specified testing stations.
All vehicles determined to fit this exceptional condition:
8. Must have a test every 4 months and will only be licensed for 4 months at a time
9. Will no longer be eligible for licensing if any major defects be found on the vehicle test (major defects are defined as defects affecting the brakes, suspension or steering).
