You pair, are worse than women. Either get behind the protest or do yourself a favour and shut the fu*k up.

If you allow this Shopping Center crowd to dictate who can and cannot pick up, you will all lose out in the long term, and ultimately, you will end up paying to provide a service for which you are already licensed.

Now is that what you really want? :?

Oh and I should point out, that no one owns the customer. :-|

People like you Bigblue, always work against everyone's interests. You are a rat which is driven by the prospect of doing someone down in the short term, even if that means everyone losing out over the long term, including yourself. #-o

I've seen it all before. #-o

Seems like you mostly have a problem with mr a.... m.....d.

As you 'voiced your concern' from your cab across the rank others might have heard the exchange. Enuff said!

As for the rest everyone can read for themselves.

As for the committee you want rid of, the secretary has resigned twice because of other commitments and been begged back. The treasurer only offered to continue until someone else came forward, that was last July, mr a.... m.....d only agreed to help out... 3 yrs ago and the chairman is the only reason the others stay on and don't leave him in the lurch.
Wonder why?

In that time amongst other things this committee has salvaged 12 spaces in Alexander street rank that the council were scrapping. The rank you work constantly.
Got the council to reduce the number of tests your cab has per year. And are in the middle of a a two year fight to have the license fees justified.

You are using the politics of the situation to justify biting off your nose to spite your face. Why don’t you explain to everyone how working to weaken and divide your trade serves your interests? This is all yahboo stuff. Are you that stupid you can’t recognise you are your own worst enemy? The time for fighting among yourselves is after you’ve fought off those who would profit out of making you pay, to provide a service, to a customer they have no right to sell on as a commodity.

Get a grip for fu*k sake... #-o

this could be interesting - homosexuality rife in the Clydebank cab trade perhaps?

Bigblue, you'd be better off buying yourself a dummy-tit to suck on. It might just help you to get over what happened during the past, so you don't repeat the same mistake in the future. #-o

If Cabhappy is under cutting, then that's a mistake. You should all be running at the same tariff regardless...

However, you should also be able to agree on what represents everyone's interests, the bigger picture one might say, and how to go about protecting those interests?

In other words, if you can't learn to bury the past, you are all going to be working for a lot less in the future. Oh and that much I can promise. #-o

You need a set of protocols upon which everyone can agree, and no one is prepared to break. :-|

Why don't you use this forum to come up with a Clydebank Taxis Code of Conduct and get everyone signed up to it, instead of bitching at each other. :-|

All you need is to agree a set of conventional principles and expectations, which is binding upon any group or association member?

It would be a start to get all of you singing off the same page. :-|

Mr cabhappy is completely against undercutting the council tariffs. He does not do it and does not think it is in the best interests of the trade.
He will quote a fixed price for beyond the boundary jobs when asked but mostly such as airport and city just does them as per meter.
He has nothing against companies who offer fixed prices for journeys outside of the boundary as this is written into the Council tariff.

Happy to clear that up.

We were all singing of the same hymn sheets till all this rank stuff started and were making good progres with the bigger issueswith counsil fees etc .the we were driven apart by ill advised demos which only caused the public and drivers more inconvenience it wasnt handled properly and caused the devide lack of consultation between all of us is the problem here

You are probably right skull we should stick together and put a code of practice in place it would be difficult to implement with the amount of new drivers coming into the trade but it doesn't alter the fact the CPHA would have to be a bit more thoughtfull of there actions and remember there are two different factions of operators out here that have different concerns in these times of business being at its lowest for us diferent fare structures Is a thing that will have to be adressed and is causing concern thats where a code of pratice would be more helpfull along with a committee that negotiates with allits membership.
