Well the thing is TDO, you could always work in your own area if the one you work in does not suit you, it's pretentious rubbish, thats all it is, as I said hypocrites and phoneys.

The thing is drivers should work, and should be allowed to work, where they dam well please.
And if they want to drive PH, then good luck to them, and if they want to run their own taxi vehicle, then ditto. But it should be their choice, and they shouldn't have to pay up to £50,000 for the privilege.
No they should not have to pay £50,000 well unless it's at skulls auction, but lets make it quite clear here Sussex, I am not suggesting that drivers from outside any Licensing area should not be allowed to work in another area, but the fact is that in East Lothian the Council seems to meet skulls criteria of how a Council should administer the taxi trade, he lives in the area so why not work there, it's he who has the problem with Edinburgh not the other way round, so I will say it again, hypocrites, phoneys and now twisters as well.

Ah and there we have it, the moral high ground, it must be nice to be so far up your own arse you can look down on others.
Its simple sillyarse, sorry, Sirius I was born and brought up in Edinburgh and I have been an Edinburgh Taxi Driver for 15 years this is why I work there.
You see Sirius I don’t have a problem with where anyone lives or how much anyone wants to pay for a taxi licence whether it is £700 or £70,000. Neither do I have a problem with anyone who wants to challenge the Council or any other authority for that matter, this is how society evolves.
I have no problem fighting it out in a free market either.
If you want to have your own licence and want to work in the trade, great, if you want to sell you licence for a tidy some then I am over the moon.
You do whatever you have to do, you pay your money, and you take your chances.
Nothing lasts for ever no one guaranteed anyone a privileged existence in a free market and no councillor will be holding you hand when you are taking your last breath.
Sirius, your need to feel superior betrays your weakness, just like the little councillors that lord our power over us. It is they and you who are the hypocrites, phoneys and twisters. I don’t feel the need to seek some phoney recognition from my peers or some false sense of gratification by towing the party line. This is your world not mine.
Your fear of not being taken seriously is well justified. I will say it again, hypocrite, phoney and now twister as well.
