ALL the great religions come together in writings, The Koran even includes Jesus and Abraham (and doubtless many more and vice-versa) they are interlinked, the commonality of the contents shows us there is more common ground than many would like to think, its also a fact we owe so much to Islam, like the written word, Arabic being what our alphabet is based on.

Religion was born of man becoming self-aware and questioning his existence of how he came to be on this planet. This is why there is no definitive word of God. Religion was invented by primitive people in a dark age where man pointed to volcanoes, meteorites, tsunamis and earthquakes, etc. as prophetic acts of God to explain their existence. We now know this was all bollocks, there are no magic or miracles, only fairy stories.

And then there's the question of the 4.5 million years, in which the planet was around before "God" put in an appearance, some 2,000 years ago. Oh and let's not forget the Dinosaurs, the fossil record and DNA?

Tell me something Jman316, how do you reconcile your faith in Allah, with your perceived inability to question your belief? It seems that when a Muslim is faced with calling into question what he believes, he sticks his fingers in his ears and goes “nah- nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah” repeatedly.

It’s like asking questions or pointing to inconsistencies in what you are taught, is not allowed, whereas this is the exact opposite of science. Asking questions and seeking the answers is actively encouraged. However, you would claim that Science and Religion are compatible.
