No crap talking from me Flower, I'm speaking on behalf of others, our trade. Your just out for yourself, an I'm alright Jack who doesn't care about the trade and your fellow cabbies, sadly it's a disease that may well feck our trade completely, Edinburgh will be tough to crack, Co-ops especially well established ones like we have in Edinburgh scare the life out of the incoming competition, com cab and ECPH being the previous example, Gett and Uber will be no different, they can't compete on reliability and service, also again I repeat the majority of my circuit fees are covered from the extra's I earn, I've worked the street, over 4 years, I never charged extra passenger under 4, now I get call out 80p plus 20p per person above 2, trust me it mounts up over a month, you look after yourself Flower

Thank you Reggie I will.

Having an opinion is a good thing Reggie and I never comment on anything that I have not experienced myself.

We will see what happens in 5 years or you will

Hope you enjoy your retirement Flower, you did tell me you where thinking about it

Like Comcab  Gett will disappear in time, to be fair Comcab did last a few years more than expected and are still here but their significance is almost zero, Gett and Uber are only an App, Comcab are the whole package and still can't compete with the co-operative model especially well established co-ops like we have in Edinburgh. Apps mainly are short term in popularity not many last the pace, I can't see Gett and Uber coming anywhere close in Edinburgh, again Co-ops scare the life out of corporate's but don't take my word on it, click on the link

Reggie please do not take credit for Comcabs lack of success all the drivers that have left will tell you what happened. Will Comcabs come back again?....They have just taken a contract from City Cabs.

Hope your 90th anniversary went well yesterday (subject to terms and conditions)

Gett, or whatever company buys them or merges with them aren't going anywhere. Apps are here to stay, and for an app to be successful in an area like London with 75'000 lost cars (PH) you need a few million to promote and advertise it.

Most drivers probably don't have £6000 laying around to join an established owner driver circuit, and if they did and their face didn't fit, you're expelled on a the whim of another few taxi drivers.

Gett and other app's gives you that freedom.

Their promotions more often than not gain you money, opposed to lose it.

Theres a £10 promotion on at the moment around central London, the punter pays the meter (acc credited) and I get £10. Most jobs have been under the £10.

The jobs fixed over 6 miles have all come in at a reasonable rate so far, if they look too cheap, I don't accept them.

Edinburgh generates a lot of future orders, as I can view them on my driver box. I'd say its a godsend to those excluded from the two main circuits or drivers who like me work very much on a part time basis.

No one forces you to accept work from Gett.
