Why does it NOT mention ALL area plate values? Bit selective, it would appear. Let me help. A plate sold in Lincoln last Summer for £2,000.

Two people on the waiting list, that's unusually short? Maybe the fact that there's no prospect of getting one issued deters interested parties?

I'm getting feedback of around 4 grand, so your two grand estimate might be near the mark. It must be one of the lowest in the country if not the lowest?

The £2,000 for a plate is a FACT not an estimate.

I would estimate it to be the lowest.

There is no wating list.

I will answer your questions when you acknowledge the plate values in Lincoln. Your figures above are innaccurate, not surprisingly.

I think logic might dictate that there may be some interest from the 500 or so private hire drivers in requiring a hackney plate considering Lincoln go to such lengths in protecting access to them?

If you tell me which of the DfT stats are wrong I'll let them know? lol

JD

I would. But it wouldn't be fair to accept one persons word, would it?

lol We're not talking about unsubstantiated claims jimbo, we're talking about a fact you made. Unless you have a puppeteer pulling your strings you needn't involve anyone else? lol

JD

"a fact you made" ??? Not with you there JD

According to your licensing department there is, in fact I was offered number 3 on the list.

Some things just never change.

Are there not waiting lists, or registers of interest, in all restricted areas?

A halcrow survey was carried out in 2004.

It was stated within, that; Out of 524 Hackney/PH drivers, (which equates roughly to the numbers provided by DfT/JD) that when surveyed, "There was obvious apathy from the private hire trade, with regard to the questionnaire" with a 2% return.

When asked, would you "switch from PH to Hackney following the removal of restrictions" ONE PH driver indicated that he would consider the move. ONE.

No. Not really, no. I'm not bovvered, not at all, no, no, not at all worried.
I'm sure JD will make a valuable contribution to the Taxi community in Lincoln. Always thought he wanted to be a Plate Baron.
